New Beginnings

Color your world with the rock, soul and horns of Chicago’s greatest hits.
Does anybody really know what time it is? If you’d like to catch a night of live Chicago tunes, the answer is 7:30 p.m. Friday, October 4, and the place is the Jabez. That’s when Chicago tribute band, Beginnings, will perform the group’s greatest hits including “Saturday in the Park,” “25 or 6 to 4,” “Just You ’n’ Me,” “Hard to Say I’m Sorry” and, of course, “Beginnings.”

These veteran musicians have worked with artists such as Peter Frampton, Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, Blood Sweat & Tears, Spyro Gyra, KC and the Sunshine Band and Constantine Maroulis (“American Idol”).

Three years ago the band added the crowning touch when former Chicago guitarist, Donnie Dacus, joined the group.

With 36 albums and more than 100 million records sold, Chicago – initially built on the foundation of a prominent horn section – is one of the longest-running and best-selling music groups of all time. The band, inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, had five No. 1 albums and 20 Top 10 hits.
