Travis Cain – East Georgia Fence & Construction

“I started installing fence before I went off to college and really enjoyed it. I never expected to do it this long or that it would have grown as large as it has” says Travis Cain, who established the business in 2006.

East Georgia Fence is focused on making the customer experience pleasant and stress free. They pride themselves on high quality work and experience. “We have a very high standard for installers that we have developed over the years. It certainly helps to have excellent crew leaders, some have been with me 6, 10, even 16 years. They really are the standard for excellence in town. We don’t hire from outside, but train new leaders from within the company. All of this helps us provide a high level of continuity and service.”

“I really enjoy getting to work with customers again and again over the years. Sometimes, they call us because they are moving or their kids might be buying a home and they want someone they can trust. A lot of times, they request the same crew they had previously,” says Julie Woodward, the company’s office manager.

“Typically, someone in the office will take the initial call or email and schedule a time for Drew, our outside salesperson, or I to come take a look at the yard and measure for an estimate” Travis says. “We look forward to the opportunity to meet with the homeowner and discuss what type of fence they might be looking for and address any concerns they might have.”

“Many of our residential customers install fences to update and to reinvest in their homes, but there is a more common circumstance” Travis says. “I always say the three things that keep us in business are pools, puppies and children.”

East Georgia Fence is celebrating their 20th year in business. They install residential and commercial fencing of all types including wood, rail, farm, aluminum and steel ornamental, chain link and PVC vinyl. The company stains wood fences and installs gate operators and commercial slide gates as well. East Georgia Fence has been voted Augusta Magazine’s “Best of Home” twelve times and “Columbia County’s Best 100” for Best Fencing the past five years in a row.

Travis and his wife, Jessica, have four sons. They are members of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church and are active in the community. East Georgia Fence also supports local organizations including Golden Harvest Food Bank, Augusta Rescue Mission, Child Enrichment, Pregnant Choices and Young Life.
