Wellstar Columbia County Medical Center is opening in August 2026, and you have an opportunity to be a part of the Wellstar community. Wellstar Columbia County Medical Center marks the next chapter in Wellstar’s ongoing commitment to expand access to world-class care across Georgia. Our new six-story, 254,000-square-foot hospital will bring full-service acute care closer to home for people in Columbia County and surrounding communities.
Wellstar Columbia County Medical Center will have:
- 100 inpatient beds – 16 intensive care and 84 medical-surgical
- Six operating rooms
- Two catheterization/interventional radiology rooms
- Two endoscopy rooms
- 19-room Emergency Department – expected to become a Level II Trauma Center
- Helipad for rapid critical care transport
- On-site pharmacy with Meds-to-Beds program
