Nashville-style Noel

Tis the season for holiday music. However, a pair of upcoming productions with a Nashville twist are not your average holiday shows.

Live From Nashville will present Matt Davenport Productions’ “Merry Country Christmas” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 10. With guitars and fiddles and soaring harmonies, the production will offer Christmas songs in authentic, toe-tapping Nashville style.

From the merry “Old Saint Nick” and “Up on the Housetop” to the moving “O Come, All Ye Faithful” and “Silent Night,” musicians and singers steeped in the tradition of the country genre will present songs of fun, faith and hope. The performance also will include exciting sets, colorful costumes and boot-scootin’ dancers.

On Thursday, December 19 at 7:30 p.m. The Isaacs, a Nashville-based, award-winning family group, will present “Christmas with the Isaacs.” The group includes siblings Ben Isaacs, Sonya Isaacs Yeary and Rebecca Isaacs Bowman, and their mother, Lily Isaacs, the daughter of Polish-Jewish Holocaust survivors. The band showcases tight family harmony and blends their multi-genre musical influences of bluegrass, rhythm and blues, folk, country and Southern gospel.

Tickets for each show at Jibes S. Hardin Performing Arts Center are $44.95. To make reservations or for more information, visit or call (706) 726-0366.
